Sustainable Livelihood Program
Aim: Promoting livelihood improvement in rural Ladakh through experimentation and innovation in order to achieve a significant increase in income levels of target groups. The Objective is focused on Livelihood improvement and increased income levels through promotion of selected crops, product, technology, skill development, enterprise development and vocational trainings.
EY STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics)
EY STEM App is designed for girls around the world to get hands - on with Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Complete fun and engaging STEM activities and earn rewards points. Leh Nutrition Project along with Ernst and Young Foundation aims to introduce the app with Girl Children of Ladakh to take real life actions beyond the phone app, such as interviewing members of their community, applying design thinking to sole the community problems and conducting experiment. EY STEM App is an innovative gamified mobile platform for girls aged 13 to 18 to pursue STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) carriers. The platform is free of cost and aims to impact out of school learning.
Water harvesting solutions to strengthen land-based economic systems in the Ladakh Himalayas
External forces like climate change, and other developmental activities are forcing Ladakhi communities on the brink of water and food security issues, in addition to low productive agriculture and lack of alternate income leading to socio-economic issues across the region.
